Figure 1. The central open space with the Waterfall of Solidarity on Dec 24.

On December 24, in the morning, there was finally some snow that unfortunately disappeared quickly. However, I managed to take a few pictures. I also mix that here with some other “Christmassy” pictures that I could take here in the last period. Christmas in Japan is not very big, but it is still nice and present.

On December 15, there was a nice English Christmas Party organized by the Christmas Party Planning Team of Fujita Health University, Department of General Affairs / Center for International Relations (Fig. 2). There were students and (international) guests and staff members, and I had kindly been invited by Dr. Tomoko Asai. We were organized into small groups that had to play games in competition with other groups, which was a lot of fun despite big differences in ages and English language abilities! And I won the bingo, so I guess this will become my lucky year.

I also found a Christmas tree at the hospital entrance (Fig. 7) and Christmas menu at the student cafeteria (Fig. 8).

Although it is permanent, one of the windows of one of the highest buildings of our University has a very beautiful window that gives a Christmas feeling (Fig. 5).

Figure 9. Fujita at night. It is quite pretty with these white lights. The leaves have gone now, but left of the round building are maple trees with beautiful deep-red leaves in autumn; it might be nice if during that time some lights would shine at them from below, similar to how many of those small white lights are now positioned within the low red hedges.
